Believing Is Not Enough!

Believing is not enough

Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things? 11Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness. 12If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things? 13And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. 14And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: 15That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. John 3;10-21

If you ask most people, how do you know you are going to heaven, they will say it is because I believe in God and Jesus. I put to you that believing is not enough to grant you salvation, doubt me?  Let me ask you this do you think that Satan will ever go to heaven?  We know that he won’t but if just believing in Jesus was enough the devil would be able to go to heaven because he knows and believes in God in all three of his incarnations, but Satan knew it isn’t enough, that is why he did everything in his powers to destroy the Son of God.  So, knowing God and Jesus isn’t enough it even tells you so in James 2:19, Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

You can know the bible word for word and even do works in the name of Jesus and still will not go to heaven. Jesus, Himself said, “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.  Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” Matthew 7:21-23.

Then you ask, “How do I earn my way to heaven?”  You don’t it is gifted to you when you believe that Jesus is the only way to the father and follow him by putting yourself in his hands and accepting his love and grace. No matter how you lived your life before you accept Jesus as your savior He will accept you and say, “All your sins will be forgiven if you confess your sins to Me, repent and accept Me as your Saviour.  because I love you.”

So, there you are the secret to everlasting life with God is simple, accept Jesus as your Saviour by confessing your transgressions to Him and accept His Love and forgiveness. The best part of this is once you are truly saved you can’t lose your salvation. Jesus said the following on the permanency of salvation, “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any [man] pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave [them] me, is greater than all; and no [man] is able to pluck [them] out of my Father's hand. I and [my] Father are one.” John 10:27-30

So, remember that unless you commit to accept the wonderous gift that Jesus has offered, you are not saved but remember once you do accept his salvation and you become one of His elect it is forever and you are assured everlasting life with the Father and Son in Heaven. May God bless you!

A Message for Nine- Eleven

This year as   September   the eleventh approaches and we reflect on that day it is a good time to remember   two things   one that while we may never know why it happened, God does   and secondly and most importantly God was there with each and every one of us that day rather we were setting at home watching on   the television or were one of the victims He was there offering you comfort and gently leading his followers home, while trying for one last time to call those who refused to believe   and rather they believed or not, God loved them and you as he always does.   You may ask why did God do this? Simple answer He didn’t do this these acts were done by men who were deceived by Satan into thinking they were following God’s will. They were deceived by a false promise of paradise for them and their families by becoming martyrs. Next you are going to ask why did God allow this? I don’t know but I trust His reasoning.   Corinthians...

Read The Bible

18 Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes. 19 And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. 20 And thou shalt write them upon the door posts of thine house, and upon thy gates: Deuteronomy 11:18-20 As we start another year, I can’t help but to ponder about all the changes that have occurred over my life. As I think back I began reminiscing about my now grown kids nothing earth changing just how things have changed since my oldest was born. I thought about the internet and cable tv both of which has changed life for the better and worse. Better because it has made the world a smaller place I am able to talk to people all over the world and the information useful information that is on the internet, before the internet if you wanted to ...

God Can use Anyone Even You!

You may wonder am I good enough for God to use me? The answer is yes God likes to use imperfect people to accomplish his task. It shows that no matter who He uses as long as He is the guiding force behind the task it will go exactly how it was supposed to. It is also a good reminder there is no obstacle that we can over come as long as we trust in the Lord   Matthew 26:30 -35 30  And when they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives. 31  Then Jesus said to them, “You will all fall away because of me this night. For it is written, ‘I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’ 32  But after I am raised up, I will go before you to Galilee.” 33  Peter answered him, “Though they all fall away because of you, I will never fall...
