A death of a Friend

  Last week one of my oldest dearest friends died unexpectedly which got me to thinking about a Christians relationship with death. You see death to a Christian is a duel edged sword we grieve because we miss the person but at the same time when we know that someone is saved we celebrate because we know they have went home to be with the Lord and that we will see them again.   You may ask how I can be sure of this simple because Jesus himself promised in John 14:1-4, “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. 2 In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. 4 And where I go you know, and the way you know.”     And since I was there to witness when he finally publicly accepted the Jesus as his savior I am assured that when he closed his...
